Since this is integrated into the fiery RIP, GAPPE can access and display the actual RIPped file. It identifies problems such as missing fonts or spot colors, as well as characteristics like low resolution images or overprinting which might need to be dealt with using additional processing. There are various preflighting packages out there but this is nice because it is integrated right into Fiery. The primary objectives for GAPPE are to help operators quickly identify problems and their causes without unnecessary test printing.
